Meet Our Fosters

Behind every rescued kitten and cat is a foster hero — someone who opened their home, their heart, and their time to give a Misfit Meep a second chance.

Our foster community is a compassionate group of individuals dedicated to helping stray, abandoned, and overlooked cats in the Rochester area.

Fosters provide safe spaces for healing, socialization, medical recovery, and love — often being the very first kindness these animals have ever known. Because of them, frightened kittens become confident companions, and forgotten cats rediscover trust.
We truly could not do this work without them.

Bobby Packard

Bobby has a special talent for bonding with even the tiniest kittens. Whether it’s late-night bottle feedings or cuddles, he shows up with dedication and heart.

Chelsea Bauman

Chelsea’s home is a haven of comfort. She has a gift for connecting with cats on their terms, building trust slowly and lovingly.

Liz Schuth

Lorrie Dalba

Lorrie’s warmth shines through in everything she does. She creates nurturing environments where kittens can grow strong, playful, and ready for their forever homes.

Vince Dalba

Vince combines compassion with commitment, always willing to step in when a foster is needed. His kindness helps give cats stability during critical transitions.

Why Becoming A Foster Matters

  • Fostering is the bridge between rescue and forever home.
  • By welcoming a cat into their home temporarily, our fosters help us:
  • Save more lives by freeing up shelter space
  • Monitor health and recovery in a calm environment
  • Socialize shy or traumatized cats
  • Learn each cat’s personality to find the best adoptive match
  • Provide individualized love and attention

Every foster home becomes a place of transformation — not just for the animal, but often for the human too.
